About Our
Chamber
The Town of Moriah Chamber of Commerce was formed in 1970 with the mission to promote and advance the general welfare and prosperity of local businesses, facilitate the establishment of commercial, industrial, and agricultural enterprises; and to assist, improve, and develop existing enterprises so as to provide and increase employment opportunities in the Town of Moriah and surrounding communities.
Since its incorporation the Moriah Chamber of Commerce has been recognized and respected as a strong advocate and supporter of local businesses.
Current chamber programs encompass in-person and online promotion, networking, and business assistance including town-wide events like the annual Moriah Labor Day celebration, Champ Day, town-wide yard sale, and the seasonal Moriah Maker's Market.
The chamber also promotes local walking tours such as the Lakes To Locks Passage Blueway Trail and Story of Iron in Crown Point and Port Henry PassagePort which refelct the area's industrial legacy. We also partner with Champlain Area Trails to promote and steward local hiking paths, such as the Belfery Mountain, Cheney Mountain, McConley Spring, and Coot Hill/Big Hollow Trails.
